Autumn

I am loving Fall in Japan. Everyday is filled with blue skies, sunshine, and moderate temperatures similar to San Fransisco. The evenings are getting chillier with a brisk dry wind, but the daytime is picture perfect. I am a big fan of the sun and have always had a difficult time with Vancouver's predominantly cloudy/rainy weather.
I have discovered Japanese persimmons. They are everywhere - on the trees, in the stores, and along my bike path. I had to investigate and sampled some at my local grocers. I found them rather bland tasting, but agreeable and now they have become part of my daily fare.
